Matching

Matching

This is a very funny game and the guests attending the baby shower can have a real good time. As the name suggests, the game deals with certain kind of matching activities. The things that are needed for conducting this game are paper, drawing pencils, and pens for writing scores, candy and index cards.

Squares are to be cut out from the cardboards and two boards are to be made using these squares. In one of the boards, the squares are marked with numbers and those of the other board are to be marked by alphabets. Each of the boards should contain matching ideas under the square.

The squares or the alphabets contain some word or phrase related to babies or baby birth. For example, a letter in a board can have the word pain and a number in the other board can have the word labor. The contestants have to arbitrarily select a number from one board and an alphabet from the other board. If the number and the alphabet selected by the contestant matches the part of the word or phrase or contains another word of similar meaning, then the contestant gets a prize.

The prizes are even more interesting than the game. If a contestant can match the number and alphabet written labor and pain respectively, then for labor pain the contestant packet of whoppers as prize. If somebody comes up with the word breast feeding, she gets a milk duds or milky way. It is a bit difficult for the contestants to find the linked words, but if they can get it then it’s really funny.
